Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before getting your report.

Is it safe for you to scan my website?

Yes. Our scanner only performs passive checks — the same checks any browser or security researcher would do automatically when visiting your site. We look at public-facing information like SSL certificates, HTTP headers, and DNS records. We never attempt to access admin areas, inject code, or do anything that could affect your site's operation.

Do I need technical knowledge to understand the report?

No. Every finding is written in plain English with a clear explanation of what was found, why it matters to your business, and exactly what to tell your web developer or hosting provider to fix it. You don't need to be technical — the report is designed for business owners.

What does the report include?

The full report includes: an executive summary in plain English, a risk score out of 100, detailed findings for every check (SSL/TLS, HTTP headers, DNS security, data breach exposure, software disclosure, cookie security, TLS version, Google Safe Browsing, and redirect security), step-by-step fix instructions, and a recommended roadmap for this week, this month, and this quarter.

What's the difference between the plans?

The One-Time Scan (£29) gives you a full report for a single domain. The Monthly Monitor (£49/month) re-scans your domain every month and alerts you if anything changes — ideal if you want ongoing peace of mind. The Agency Plan (£99/month) covers unlimited domains, making it perfect for web designers or IT companies managing multiple client sites.

Can I scan a website I don't own?

You may only scan websites you own or have explicit written permission to scan. Scanning a site without authorisation may be illegal under the Computer Misuse Act 1990 (UK). By using our service, you confirm you have the right to scan the domain you submit.

How long does the scan take?

The preview scan typically completes in 30–60 seconds. The full report (including AI-written analysis) takes around 60–90 seconds to generate after payment. You can download it immediately from the confirmation page, and we'll also email it to you.

What do I do after getting the report?

The report is designed to be handed directly to your web developer, hosting provider, or IT support. Each finding includes the exact steps needed to fix it. If you don't have a developer, AllThingsTech Wales can help — email us at info@allthingstech-wales.co.uk.

What if I'm not happy with the report?

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you're not satisfied for any reason, just email info@allthingstech-wales.co.uk and we'll refund you in full — no questions asked.

Will this fix my website's security issues?

The report identifies and explains every issue found. Fixing them requires changes to your website or DNS settings — typically done by a web developer or your hosting provider. The report includes the exact instructions needed to make those fixes.

Is my data kept private?

We only store your email address and the domain you scanned, used solely to deliver your report. We don't sell your data to third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
